About Us
Santa-Rita Contemporary Art exists to promote the work of emerging and established artists in North America and Europe. Our goal is to promote work of the highest conceptual and technical quality, intelligent work that provokes thought and exhibits powerful images. We work with painting and fine art photography.
The artists we represent have varied backgrounds and use different mediums. Their work reflects great sense of composition, great technical ability, master use of color and light effects, and superb use of texture. To some extent their work incorporates elements of the works of the great masters of past and present times treated with original approaches. As you view their work you may be reminded of the work of Rembrandt and Turner, Hockney, the Bay Area Painters, Rothko, Motherwell, Freud, or Rego, to mention a few; but at the same time you will see new themes, have new visual experiences, and experience different, yet strong, emotions.
