2009 is here and take the opportunity to wish everyone a great year. In the last quarter of 2008 we visited the Lisbon Arts Fair, Filarte, and established contacts with several artists and galleries. The exhibit featured over 1000 works by contemporary artists from several countries. We are currently negotiating having a presence in the 2010 Fair.
Thibaud Thiercelin was selected to participate in the MAC2000 Paris Art Fair and several of his works were purchased by international collectors. Hats off to you, Thibaud!
Ana Fox Ryan was selected as one of 30 artists to work on a 30×30 commissioned painting for the Savannah College of Art and Design 30th anniversary. She is also currently working on a series of 40 charcoal drawings dealing with urban landscapes and environmental issues. Anna and Aaron Thompson will have a studio Open House early in the spring.
Aaron Thompson is working on a series of portraits that will soon be posted on this website. All is portraits are done in oil and his models vary from perfect strangers to clients who commission works. Expect to see some new approaches to portraiture in his most recent works.
Julian Santa-Rita opened a new studio where he returns to work on large scale pieces. His new works integrate technology, or references to technology, and represent a merging of traditional technique with a clearly digital age thematic approach. There are several works in progress that will be posted as completed.
We are developing relationships with galleries, museum and institutions with the goal of showing the work of our artists in as broad a geographic area as possible. We welcome the exchange of works and the opportunity to participate in group exhibits with artists represented by other institutions.
We have added three artists to our group: William Armstrong; George Dombek; and Lucia Cannone. We are currently updating our files and galleries.
